R&R’s aren’t your enemy @aprilzyon

Hi all and welcome to Wicked Wednesday with me, April Zyon. How is everyone today? Me? I’m looking at my to-do list and I’m about to die. That’s okay though, its nothing new for me 🙂

So, as the title of this post says, Revise and Resubmit’s aren’t always your enemy. I’ve had more than one in my time and you know what – I now look at them as a way to do the following..

  1. Improve the story (obviously they saw something missing that I didn’t)
  2. Add to the story something I thought of after I submitted it (never fails!)
  3. Make the characters stronger and better
  4. Give you, my fabulous reader, a better product

So you see, when you see a R&R in your inbox instead of that ever coveted acceptance don’t get your panties in a bunch and run off and grumble to everyone that will listen, instead look at what the AE has requested of you, take a day off and then re-read your whole book with the AE’s comments in your mind. That’s right. Read it with their comments in mind and I guarantee you that you are going to see what they did.

Here’s the thing…

It’s a huge secret…

That’s right my darlings. We. Are. All. Human.

There you go. That’s the secret.

So instead of kicking the curb because you got an R&R instead of an acceptance, learn and grow. Expand your horizons and know that its all for the better.

Now, the real reason you are here..

The pretty men…

Wicked Hot Wednesday brought to us today via Hottest Men with Tattoos on Facebook. Visit them and give them a like today 🙂
