Snubbed By Global Watchdog, Pak To Tag Terror Groups "High Risk"

Bisaria, who had been recalled to New Delhi for consultations last month following the Pulwama terror attack, will articulate India's expectations from Pakistan with emphasis and more directly, sources added. "Pakistan has further increased diplomatic efforts and we have chose to send back the Pakistani high commissioner to New Delhi (Sohail Mahmood)", he added. Meanwhile, Islamabad accuses New Delhi of violently oppressing pro-Pakistan separatists who are fighting for independence or in favor of a merger with Pakistan.

One such attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir on February 14, claimed by the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Pakistan-based group, killed 40 Indian paramilitary police and led to clashes between the nuclear-armed rivals as India retaliated.

India claimed it targeted a JEM training camp, but Pakistan denies it, adding that it does not harbor any terrorist groups.

"This government will not allow Pakistan's land to be used for any kind of outside terrorism", Khan said while addressing a rally in southern Pakistan. Pakistan said the strike only damaged three trees in a forest.

He also said Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked India to send evidence it has against anybody.

Pakistani officials say this crackdown is part of a long-planned drive and not a response to Indian anger. And Pakistan instead of taking action against terrorist groups in its soil on February 26 chose to escalate through an act of aggression by violating our air space and attempting, unsuccessfully, to target our military facilities.
