P.J. Tucker tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds and Gerald Green scored 10 points as the Rockets ran off to a 20-point lead in the first half.

Just one week after being in the city for All-Star weekend, the Warriors headed back to Charlotte for their Monday matchup against the Hornets.

And after he missed last season's game with an ankle injury, that makes this year's contest that much more special.

The Golden State Warriors center got upset with refs again during Monday night's game against the Hornets in Charlotte and he had every right to be mad at them.

"He'll be back for the playoffs". Veteran Chris Paul also showed out putting up 23 points and making some clutch free throws in the final two-minutes. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was unsure if throwing a shoe warranted an automatic technical, but agreed Cousins made the correct decision.

As far as the basketball implications of Curry's return, the Warriors (42-17) are about as hard a test as the Hornets (28-31) have faced all season.

Kenneth Faried started in Harden's place and delivered 20 points and 10 rebounds as five Rocket players scored in double figures.

After the 111-106 loss, Harden was critical of Foster by saying that he has a personal issue with Harden and that players can't talk to Foster throughout the course of a game.

Nets 117, Hornets 115 D'Angelo Russell scored 40 points, including 12 straight down the stretch, and Brooklyn pulled out a victory over host Charlotte in a freaky game.

It was a frustrating night at times for the Warriors. "It was tough and early on, I had to get away from the game for a minute".

Gordon drained 25 points to power the Rockets, who held on even as the Warriors threatened within 4 points, 116-112, with 30 seconds left.

"I'm more happy about that than the actual game", Cousins said.

The Rockets' victory over the defending champions was accomplished without Harden, who has scored 30 or more points in 32 consecutive games, the second-longest run in National Basketball Association history.

The Rockets wasted no time taking charge, scoring the game's first 15 points.

"A big part of competing with a team in a series is the legitimate belief that: 'We're prepared for this, we were built for this, and it will not take a bunch of good luck and good fortune".
