Even though the wind won't be very strong, a mostly clear sky will allow for temperatures to fall below zero.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. The weekend temperatures will be slightly warmer but will feature a lot of clouds.

Extreme wind chills of minus 40 to minus 50 are expected across much of Northern Ontario again tonight.

The partial government shutdown has entered its 35th day, breaking the record of the longest government shutdown in USA history. Some 800,000 federal workers have either been idled or are working without pay as a result of the shutdown .

With wind chill warnings come a higher potential for frostbite, according to the National Weather Service. We'll see slight chance of light snow for Friday night into early Saturday as a clipper system will push through.

A Winter Storm Watch and High Wind Watch have been issued for a large portion of the state as both weather alerts will begin on Sunday and continue on into Monday. At that level, frostbite can occur in 20 minutes. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves. Temperatures will return to the teens on Monday, and then cool right back down by Tuesday. Meteorologists do not expect any accumulation over a half-inch.

More snow develops late Sunday.
