'He lived there with the mum and dad for a little while, but was recently asked to leave with some disagreements, ' Ascension Sheriff Bobby Webre said. After murdering his parents, the 21-year-old went on to kill three more people inside another mobile home in Livingston Parish.

Investigators believe the two crimes are connected, and were motivated by a domestic dispute involving Theriot's girlfriend, Summer. Detectives are still on the lookout for Dakota Theriot, who remains at large, WVUE-TV reported. Authorities said Saturday evening he may be out of state now. Webre said that information led authorities to zero in on the couple's son as a suspect.

The Ernest family's two youngest children - ages 1 and 7 - were unharmed in the shooting. The victims were identified as 50-year-old Elizabeth Theriot and her husband, 50-year-old Keith Theriot - the parents of the accused gunman.

Dakota Theriot was being sought on charges including first-degree murder.
