Giuliani walks back comments about Moscow project

That was an apparent reversal from Wednesday's television appearance in which he said, "I never said there was no collusion between the campaign or between people in the campaign".

President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani argued Sunday he did not know for sure if Trump spoke with Michael Cohen about his congressional testimony, but that it would not have been significant if Trump did.

Giuliani, a member of Trump's legal team, said Mueller's investigators agreed with Trump's team that significant portions of the BuzzFeed bombshell were not accurate.

Yes, Jeff. That's exactly it.

Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, the lead Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee that has been investigating Trump campaign ties to Russian Federation, said on the NBC show the length of Trump's efforts to build a Moscow skyscraper, extending into the November 2016 national election, was "news to me, and that is big news".

BuzzFeed is standing by its story, and its editor-in-chief, Ben Smith, said in a statement, "We stand by our reporting and the sources who informed it, and we urge the special counsel to make clear what he's disputing".

"BuzzFeed's description of specific statements to the Special Counsel's Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen's Congressional testimony are not accurate", Mueller spokesman Peter Carr said in a statement late Friday.

The second set was tighter as Osaka uncharacteristically struggled on serve, double faulting as Zidansek went up a break. I was down 7-6 in a tiebreaker, but I returned well and I focused well over the last couple of points.

Dowd, who resigned from Trump's legal team in March, also told the Daily News that Trump did not speak directly with Cohen about the testimony. "Cohen said the effort ended in January of 2016, and as far as President Trump knows, it ended then", Giuliani told Fox News.

"Through November 2016? Through November, right?"

Giuliani said Trump "acknowledged that they had conversations about it throughout 2015, 2016". "Why, two years after the fact, are we just learning this fact now when there's been this much inquiry?"

"The fact of the investigation has nearly insulated Trump because we're all waiting for that final report, the package that's going to tie all these dots together, as opposed to, as you say, reacting to stunning revelations one by one that should be president-ending, term-ending". His statement Sunday, made on NBC's "Meet the Press," that Trump associates had continued negotiations about the real estate project deep into the 2016 campaign had again raised scrutiny into then-candidate Trump's posture toward Moscow, including his call in July of that year for Russian Federation to hack into Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's emails.

He has already agreed to appear publicly before the House Oversight and Reform Committee on February 7, and Schiff has expressed interest in bringing Cohen back to the House Intelligence Committee for an interview behind closed doors. "So any time during that period, they could have talked about it", he said.

"According to the answer that he gave, it would have covered all the way up to November of - covered all the way up to November 2016", Giuliani told ABC.
