Today at LG's CES press event, one of the more intriguing announcements was the fact that LG is bringing its rollable OLED TV technology as an actual product later in 2019. The LG Signature OLED TV R combines a speaker-filled stand with a flexible organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen that literally rolls up when not in use.

This is the LG Signature OLED TV R.

Line View allows the TV to be partially unrolled, allowing for management of specific tasks that do not require the full TV screen.

Apart from featuring Google Assistant voice assistant, the new LG TVs in 2019 will also sport Amazon Alexa voice assistant.

The TV can place itself in three viewing configurations, depending on what the user needs. In this Live mode, it has a dashboard consisting of Clock, Frame, Mood, Music and Home.

Perhaps the bigger news is its 2019 LG TVs' built-in support for AirPlay 2.

Last year Samsung released the first 85-inch 8K QLED TV, which goes for a cool $15,000.

LG said the Signature TV is powered by its second-generation Alpha 9 processor and deep learning algorithm. On top of a 65-inch 8K OLED display (pictured above and below), it's showing off a 65-inch 4K OLED panel with a "world's fastest" motion picture response time of just 3.5ms.

"Even in Zero View, users can enjoy music and other audio content which emanate from the 4.2-channel, 100W front-firing Dolby Atmos audio system", said LG.

With Apple HomeKit support, customers will be able to control their LG TV using the Home app or by asking Siri.
