Major League Baseball's donation, coming after Hyde-Smith's controversial comments and actions, created an immediate backlash once it was discovered last night. I am the candidate that wants to move MS into the future.

Hyde-Smith's support of Trump is unmistakable.

On Friday, the Jackson Free Press reported that Hyde-Smith attended a private high school that was founded in 1970 so that white parents could avoid attempts to integrate schools by sending their children to schools without black students.

Gov. Phil Bryant appointed Hyde-Smith to fill retiring Republican Sen. Nathan Shrader, a political scientist at Millsaps College in Jackson, said some Republicans may not vote for Hyde-Smith because while praising a cattle rancher at a November 2 campaign event in Tupelo, she remarked, "If he invited me to a public hanging, I'd be on the front row".

Hyde-Smith says she wants more state and local control of public education, "while recognizing the role of the federal government to support educational achievement across the country". Hyde-Smith posed in a Confederate hat for a 2014 photo captioned "Mississsippi history at its best!"

But Williams, the Black voter who's been hearing from the Espy campaign, fears Hyde-Smith's comments won't matter, or will even motivate some White voters. He has to close the gap in a state where Trump received 58 percent in 2016 and that hasn't elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate since 1982. Several dozen waited in a line that stretched out of the Hinds County Courthouse in downtown Jackson, including retired home economics teacher Illinois Cox Littleton, 92, who said she voted for Espy because she considers him "a highly intelligent man". In the center, the mascot, dressed in what appears to be an outfit created to mimic that of a Confederate general, offers a salute as she holds up a large Confederate flag.

Paul Manafort Breached Plea Deal by Lying to Mueller’s Team, Prosecutors Say
Deadlocked charges from the previous trial were to be dismissed if there was "successful co-operation" with the special counsel. For more than a year now, Manafort has been at the heart of several unresolved threads of the Mueller investigation.

MS has a history of racially motivated lynchings and violence against people who sought voting rights for black citizens. Thad Cochran, who stepped down for health reasons.

The special election victor will serve the final two years of Cochran's term. "We need to come out tomorrow in such numbers, such strength, marching to the polls like it's a holiday", he said. Rebel, and a photo of the cheerleading squad shows a girl dressed up in a Confederate costume and waving the stars and bars flag.

On immigration, Trump defended the US response to the border clash on Sunday, when USA agents fired tear gas at migrants, some of whom had attempted to climb through fencing and wire separating the countries.

President Donald Trump brought back the playbook he used during the leadup to the midterm elections, warning of the dangers of illegal immigration and painting Democrats as radical "socialists", as he returned to the campaign trail Monday to try to keep a Mississippi Senate seat in GOP hands.

Espy also spoke on the debate from the other night, telling the crowd his opponent, Cindy Hyde-Smith, shouldn't have to read any honest apology from a notepad.
