Gregory Logan Ramos had told police he came home from school to a ransacked home- his mom missing, and her van still running in the driveway.

Ramos then teamed up with his close friends from University High School, Dylan Ceglarek and Brian Porras, both 17, to make it seem as though Cleavenger was killed during a break-in.

Ramos later staged a burglary and called police to report his mom missing after school on Friday, authorities said.

After killing her, authorities say Ramos called two school friends, who allegedly helped him bury his mom, Gail Cleavenger, in a fire pit near a church.

Ramos' attorney, public defender Larry Powers, appointed by the court, did not have much to say and agreed with the judge's decision that probable cause existed to detain Ramos on the murder charge.

A 15-year-old boy is facing a murder charge after deputies found his mother's body buried under a fire pit at a church early Saturday morning, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

He found out about her death when he returned home Friday night.

With 20 points from 10 games, they might even expect to be in the Champions League places at this point in the season. We assume we'll score two or three goals every game but we can't always do that.

Officials said he later confessed to the killing of his mother and implicated his friends. But rather than expressing guilt or remorse, Chitwood said he seemed proud. Photos of Ramos showed markings on his face which the Sheriff's Office believes are from his mother fighting back, detectives said.

"I have a feeling this is a case we'll be hearing about for years to come", he said. All our hearts break for this family, ' he added on Twitter. The Associated Press typically does not identify juveniles charged with crimes.

Ramos and his mother had an argument about his D grade at around 11pm on November 1, then he woke her up at around 12.30am in the early hours of the next day and cut off her air supply.

Deputies also recovered a shovel and broom used to bury Cleavenger and straighten up the scene around the fire pit.

But Chitwood said detectives suspected the story from the start and brought Ramos in for questioning.

"To watch how cold and callous and calculating he was, I think was probably the most shocking thing for all of us", Chitwood told KSAT's sister station in Orlando, WKMG.
