Spice Girls set to announce United Kingdom tour minus Victoria Beckham

The girl group are set to tour stadiums around the United Kingdom next summer - but as a four piece.

Geri Horner, 46, and Mel C, 44, took to their official Twitter and Facebook accounts to announce the highly anticipated roadshow, which is set to kick off in Manchester on June 1.

They will perform at the Edinburgh BT Murrayfield Stadium on June 8, the Bristol Ashton Gate Stadium on June 10 and London's Wembley Stadium on June 15.

The last time all five of them performed together was at the 2012 London Olympics. "The girls aren't going on tour", Beckham said during New York Fashion Week.

Beckham, second from right, performs with the Spice Girls, including, from left, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Melanie C, and Geri Halliwell at the Brit Awards on February 24, 1997.

She said: "It's just the four of us that are fully confirmed but Vic might join us at some point".

"This is the biggest music comeback of the decade and tickets are expected to sell like hot cakes when they go on sale at the weekend".

"Shame u won't be joining ... after all u wouldn't be where u are today if it weren't for the spice girls!".

The Gunners are now on a 12-match unbeaten run which saw them win 11 games in a row in all competitions before drawing with Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace 2-2 last Sunday at Selhurst Park.

Bunton teased a Spice Girls reunion tour Monday.

In the video announcing the reunion, a pink-haired Emma enquired: 'Girls, do you think I'm too old for bunches?'

Emma said: "It's time to spice things up all over again!"

Geri Halliwell, who famously left the band in 1998 said she's "so excited" and "together we celebrate girl power with our fans and the next generation and everyone is welcome!"

Formed in 1994, the group racked up album sales in the tens of millions with hits including "Wannabe" and "Say You'll Be There" that topped charts across the globe. The reunion tour has been in the works since early 2018.

Mel B - aka Scary Spice - had spoken about Victoria's absence on Loose Women on Monday afternoon.

Asked if they'll go outside of the United Kingdom, she said: "We are".
