Fans around the world have poured onto social media to pray for USA singer Selena Gomez amidst reports that she was booked into a mental health facility after suffering a breakdown. Bieber was spotted looking somber as his friends supported him with hugs near his vehicle. He wore an oversized pink hooded sweatshirt, and hid his faced with his long blonde locks. Several global news reports suggest the singer has suffered an emotional breakdown.

It's reported by TMZ that Gomez has been hospitalised twice in the past two weeks following complications with her transplant.

Selena sought treatment once in 2014 and again in 2016 for her mental well-being. While Momina Mustehsan has previously spoken of her panic attacks, model Kendall Jenner described her "debilitating anxiety".

The 26-year-old was reportedly "despondent and emotional" after learning she had an "alarmingly" low white blood cell count, and was then taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles by a family member.

The pop star, who is allegedly now being treated at a psychiatric facility on the East Coast, apparently chose to check herself in for mental health treatment after being in the hospital due to complications from her 2017 kidney transplant to treat Lupus. While there, Gomez had to give up her cell phone and participated in individual, group and equine therapies.

The news comes just a week after Selena quit social media to take some time off for herself. Her message referred to the hurtful impact of "negative comments".

Gomez mentioned dialectical behavior therapy in the live video she posted prior to leaving social media, saying she thinks it should be taught in every school and that she's been studying it for the past year or so.

The pop star announced on her Instagram account recently that she was taking a break from social media, writing: "Update: taking a social media break. Above everything Justin wants the best for Selena... he understands how serious this is", they continued.
