In the aftermath of the brawl that followed Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 229 victory over Conor McGregor on Saturday in Las Vegas, the Nevada State Athletic Commission plans to file complaints against both fighters.

Swiftly after getting McGregor to submit, Nurmagomedov turned his attention to the Irishman's team before jumping out of the cage to attack Bellator welterweight Dillon Danis.

Meanwhile, McGregor was involved in a separate skirmish with others who had jumped into the octagon before the situations eventually were diffused as the fighters were escorted from T-Mobile Arena.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, UFC president Dana White said his glumness regarding the weekend's event has subsided somewhat - the pay-per-view numbers have begun to roll it.

White has promised stiff penalties heading Nurmagomedov's and his camp's way, so it's unclear if an immediate rematch could even happen, but it's clear McGregor is champing at the bit to get back into the octagon with Nurmagomedov and exact some revenge.

It looks like Khabib Nurmagomedov got the first of what could be many hero's welcomes in his native Dagestan.

The 30-year-old has completed just one fight in a recent six-fight deal with the UFC, and he has already expressed a desire to contest a rematch with Nurmagomedov. You just beat him while the whole world was watching. He also said the UFC took extra precautions to prevent this type of situation, but it was unavoidable. "I know my father is going to smash me when I go home".

However, the UFC is a business at the end of the day and if there's one guy who can demand a fight that is guaranteed to break the box office, it's Conor McGregor. And he's going to get suspended, so maybe you give him a four to six months suspension.
