Thanks to you, that's over now, and you've ruined that for me. Brees, who already holds the single-season record for completion rate at 72 percent last season, finished the game a remarkable 26 of 29 for 363 yards, no interceptions and three touchdowns - two of them going to Smith, a third-round draft choice out of Central Florida has played just five National Football League games and is now immortalized because of his role in Brees' record-breaking pass. The 39-year old passer has surpassed Brett Favre and Peyton Manning to own the NFL's most prestigious passing record, with 71,968 career yards gained through the air - more than the width of Lake Pontchartrain. "I've got to tell you, it's been the greatest 1,000 days of my life", Manning said while slicing tomatoes. Brees was fourth on the list heading into Monday night at 496.

Brees now has 1545 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.

Brees is in his 18th season out of Purdue.

Teenager Shaw's debut ton puts West Indies on backfoot
Gabriel trapped his opening partner Rahul in front with a sharp incoming delivery to give the West Indies an early breakthrough. While Shaw punched and drove effortlessly off pacers, he was equally comfortable against the spin duo of Bishoo and Chase.

Naturally, plenty of sports figures took to social media to congratulate Brees on Monday night. He's also made the Pro Bowl 11 times while being named a first-team All-Pro in 2006 and second-team All-Pro on three other occasions. "I think Drew's had a couple of big yardage seasons and maybe they haven't been winning as many games, so I think that can be a little bit misleading". He's just been the ultimate pro, taking care of himself, being in great shape.

Brees has 250 yards passing and two touchdowns at halftime.
