Royals always have someone from the members of the staff opening and closing the doors for them, and this act by Meghan goes against the Royal protocols.
"First time I've seen an on-duty princess shut her own auto door", one user commented.
First time I've seen an on-duty princess shut her own vehicle door...
Some praised Meghan for being so "down to earth" and "humble" as to close her own doors rather than leaving it to minders (on that note, the man who opened the door for her appears to walk forward in preparation to close it).
It was a royal event like any other: Meghan Markle-solo this time-pulls up in a regal black auto to the front gates of the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
But one royal correspondent tried to bring everyone back to their senses by noting that Meghan had not, in fact, breached any protocol.
"Yay Meghan! She's a real, regular princess/person", one wrote.

"Bizarrely sharing my train with Harry & Meghan today", Twitter user Jonny Norton captioned the video.
The royal stepped out her auto, having her door opened for her, and was welcomed by Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London Sir Kenneth Olisa.

He said: "Usually royalty and dignitaries have someone to open/close vehicle doors for security reasons: nothing to do with "princess behaviour".
Meghan, 37, who is officially known as the Duchess of Sussex, visited the Royal Academy of Arts, where on display are some 200 works including ornaments, canoes and images from the Pacific region Meghan will visit with Harry on their first overseas tour next month.
Others however, were utterly stunned that Meghan closing a vehicle door was making news.
