Elliott takes blame for Cowboys' loss to Seahawks

On Sunday, as trade rumors continue to swirl, Thomas got the Cowboys.

Thomas participated in the team's walk-through Saturday and the Seahawks plan to start Thomas on Sunday against the Cowboys. When asked if he would play on Sunday, Carroll said: "We'll see how he's doing, make sure he's okay".

During the Seahawks' 24-13 win over the Cowboys, Thomas picked off Dak Prescott twice, including a wacky game-clinching interception in the fourth quarter that he celebrated by bowing at the Cowboys' sideline, which drew a flag for taunting.

At times they breached Chelsea's statuesque back four at will, leaving the bemused Willy Caballero hopelessly exposed. But how important is a winning start to where a team ends the season? "On Saturday Oliver played very well".

Of the illegal touch, Elliott told reporters, "I had no idea [I was out of bounds]".

The loss dropped the Cowboys to 1-2 on the season, though their 23-year-old running back has recorded 311 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns through three games.

The defense then created the second takeaway of the day, as safety Bradley McDougald punched the ball loose at the end of a 26-yard run by Dallas' Elliott. "But I don't want that to be taken the wrong way - I know I'll get fined". The biggest issue remains their passing game as they once again had a hard time getting things going in this regard. Elliott had 127 yards on 16 carries. Fueled by Thomas going into their locker room past year and telling head coach Jason Garrett to "come get me", many believed that the All-Pro safety would play this season in a Cowboys uniform instead of the blue and green of Seattle. "I'm just speaking on our go-to concepts or go-to beaters or whatever it may be that we didn't get to".
