There could be a Manchester City recall for Sergio Aguero, who was named on the bench against Lyon, but Benjamin Mendy is absent with a bruised metatarsal.

Aguero has agreed a one-year extension taking his £220,000 a week contract up until 2021 meaning he will have been at the club for 10 years when it finishes.

Guardiola, who also signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2021, is delighted that Aguero is chose to stay for another 12 months.

Aguero has previously said he would like to end his career at boyhood club Independiente but has postponed his return to Argentina by extending his stay at City until after his 33rd birthday.

Cardiff City meanwhile are still without a victory this season and have racked up just two points after five games.
