It took just one year after the Timberwolves sent Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, and the pick that became Lauri Markkanen to the Bulls for Jimmy Butler's relationship with head coach Tom Thibodeau and teammate Karl-Anthony Towns to be fractured beyond fix. He has provided a list of one to three teams with which he would be open to signing a long-term deal, sources said.

The 29-year-old is now meeting with Minnesota head coach Tom Thibodeau to discuss his future with the team.

Apparently, the meeting did not go well.

Looking at Butler's salary for the upcoming season ($18.7 million, per Spotrac), there are only a few options for completing a trade for a player with his talent.

Caron Butler says LeBron James and Jimmy Butler would be a match made in heaven. telling TMZ Sports the Lakers should try to make a trade for the All-Star. Wiggins' brother tweeted "Hallelujah" in response to today's report of Butler's trade request.

Strong winds but warmer weather ahead as ex-hurricane Helene hits
A spell of strong winds is expected, initially mainly in the far southwest of England and across western Wales. Rain clearing for some parts of country this afternoon but further heavy rain along western coastal counties.

It's believed that those three teams are the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers would nearly undoubtedly have to part ways with 2018 first-round pick Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is an extremely promising point guard with a massive ceiling.

The marriage between Jimmy Butler and the Minnesota Timberwolves is on life support, spiraling toward a nasty breakup only 15 months after it began. The NBA has steadily moved away from the "emperor coach" model of having one man overseeing all aspects of the organization in recent years, and only two - Thibodeau and Gregg Popovich in San Antonio - remain in the league.

Butler, 29, was acquired from the Chicago Bulls on draft night in 2017 and was expected to play a key role in helping Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins turn the Wolves into a playoff team.
