Bears' Mitchell Trubisky Grappling With Growing Pains

One of the more important questions the Bears had to answer Monday night was how Matt Nagy would call plays if given another second-half lead. Here are some of the key points after night's victory.

With a defense playing like this, it becomes a little more hard to stay patient while waiting for that future to arrive. Rookie Rashaad Penny ended the night as Seattle's leading rusher with 10 carries for 30 yards, while Chris Carson had six carries for 24 yards. Viewed a different way, though, it's an apt slogan for a city and fan base that has been waiting too long for the Bears to be good again: Mitch (ell Trubisky), please (take the next step).

Wilson got sacked five times in the first half on Monday night and the Seahawks' offense entered the fourth quarter with only three points.

One of the other guys that was able to get to Wilson was Danny Trevathan.

Mychal Kendricks #56 of the Seattle Seahawks sacks quarterback Mitchell Trubisky #10 of the Chicago Bears in the third quarter at Soldier Field on September 17, 2018. Neither player is better than Bobby Wagner and K.J.

With how good the Bears defense has played thus far, there is still room for improvement.

Trump orders tariffs on more chinese products worth Dollars 200 bn
Beijing has issued a list of another US$60 billion of USA products for retaliation if Trump's next tariff hike goes ahead. This comes as the US already placed a 25 percent duty on 50 billion dollars of Chinese imports.

This year marks the first time the Bears have accomplished that feat since 1950 when linebacker Gerald "Bones" Weatherly did it himself with interception returns for touchdowns of 35 yards and 23 yards in road wins over the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, respectively.

"For those of you scoring at Halas Hall, that's one fewer TD pass than the guy Pace was sacked up to draft in his 13 career National Football League games".

Both interceptions came in the second quarter and allowed the Seahawks to stay in the game even though they were getting outplayed by a wide margin.

After guaranteeing $25 million of a $42 million deal for Allen Robinson, it was crucial that Robinson be able to return to his pro bowl form after missing past year due to an ACL injury. He's a big time mismatch for any opposing cornerbacks with his size and route running ability that set him up for advantageous situations in which he can out leverage the smaller defenders. The comparison between Trubisky and Mahomes is more relevant because they play in similar offenses. He looked for help in the middle of the field.

When coach Pete Carroll made a decision to cut ties with Darrell Bevell and replace him with Schottenheimer, Seattle meant to rebuild its identity as a strong running team while also eliminating slow starts that plagued the team throughout the 2017 season. He has a habit of "seeing ghosts" when sitting back in the pocket and it seems to only compound after a few mistakes. And I knew that he was a factor in special teams. Just 29 of those yards occurred after contact, per Sports Info Solutions, indicating nothing is working on the offense early in the season.

"Every time, after any play, good or bad, on that series or after the series, he was phenomenal", Nagy said (via The Athletic). The team has looked great at times and inexperienced at times. Schottenheimer led the NFL's top-ranked offense with the New York Jets a decade ago. "When you're hungry for quarterbacks, you've got a ..." Nagy has come across as a very self-aware coach that is willing to admit when he's not flawless and willing to learn from his mistakes.

"I didn't read it right", he said on his weekly radio show on ESPN 710 Tuesday morning.
