Liverpool outcast Karius completes Besiktas loan move

Karius will initially join Besiktas on a two-year loan deal for a £2.25m fee, with the Turkish club obligated to make the move permanent for a further £7.25m in 2020 if certain criteria such as appearance targets and European qualification are met. And his quotes have raised a few eyebrows.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Premier League giants Liverpool completed the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker in what was regarded as the world's expensive deal for a goalkeeper.

The 25-year-old had come under fire after his bad performance in the Champions League final and mistakes in pre-season games with Tranmere Rovers and Borussia Dortmund.

Karius has been linked with a move away from Anfield for some time after making a pair of horrendous errors in Liverpool's 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in last season's Champions League final.

Gooners will love what Jurgen Klopp said about Mesut Ozil
He has stood by players such as Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius , Alberto Moreno and Dejan Lovren through some terrible games and spells.

"I find it freakish that Karius is [on loan], while I also had options to be [loaned]", he told Het Laatste Nieuws. But for some reason that was not possible.

"Besiktas have a good team who have a good chance to win the league and they now have a really good goalkeeper and I am really happy for him".

"The transfer for Karius does not change anything for me", he told Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws. "I've always been clear: I want to play".

'Nobody has said anything to me after the departure of Loris. So I don't know what my future at Liverpool is.
