Dead fetus found on plane at LaGuardia Airport, reports say

Fetus was discovered by a cleaning crew Tuesday morning.

A foetus was found aboard an American Airlines plane at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Tuesday morning (Aug 7), according to news reports.

The fetus was believed to be five or six months along. But at around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, the cleaning crew found the fetus hidden inside the toilet under sheets of toilet paper.

American Airlines said it would not impact the rest of their fleet.

The fetus was found hours after Flight 1942 arrived Monday in New York City night from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Details will not be released until after the investigation is complete, the statement said.

A statement from LaGuardia Airport said flights at Terminal B may experience delays due to an "out of service aircraft".
