Chelsea's Eden Hazard: Playing for Real Madrid is everyone's dream

Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo's proposed switch from Real Madrid to Serie A side Juventus kept football fans and players around the globe on their toes since the current world's best player was linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

There is no doubting that Ronaldo will perform on the domestic front, but with Juve consistently winning Serie A quite comfortably year after year, his chief mandate will be to deliver in the Champions League.

"Real Madrid has conquered my heart, and that of my family, and that is why more than ever I want to say thank you".

"Ronaldo leaves Madrid as the club's all-time leading scorer, with 450 goals in 438 games". He won the illustrious UEFA Champions League trophy with Manchester United and with Real Madrid.

Old team-mates wished him well.

"For Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of its greatest symbols and a unique reference for the generations to come", European champions Real said, adding that Ronaldo had asked to be transferred.

Neymar blasted by Mexico boss for 'play-acting'
This was similar to the performances against Costa Rica and Serbia last week when they did just about enough to win. Neymar went on to add that he's sole focus is helping the Selecao lift their record sixth World title.

But one particular message might stand out from all the others after Brazilian great - and fellow contender for the tag of the greatest of all time - Pele, tweeted the Portuguese superstar to congratulate him on this next step.

"Champions never tire of new challenges".

The two clubs reached a deal reportedly worth 112 million euros (about US$132 million).

"For all their impressive growth in recent years, the concern for Juventus has always been that they would be limited by the simple fact of competing in a league whose worldwide brand continues to lag behind those of La Liga and the Premier League". Fans of the handsome game knew that they'd reap the benefits of watching Messi and Ronaldo, the two best players in the world, duking it out in La Liga each season-and that's exactly what happened. And this last fact is what may have made him head for the shores of Italy.

"Marco does not move, he stays at Real Madrid", Gaggioli told Calcio Mercato.
