A 22-year-old man has been charged with the murder of controversial rapper XXXTentacion, after being arrested by Florida police.

We have learned that the 20 year old rapper fatally shot earlier this week was going to become a father.

XXXTentacion, 20, was killed in his vehicle as he left an upscale motor sports dealership on Monday Afternoon.

A police spokesperson told LADbible: "Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives arrested Dedrick Devonshay Williams, of Pompano Beach, for the murder of Jahseh Onfroy, also known as XXXTentacion". He's being held without bond in the Broward County Jail.

Williams, who is 22, has been charged with first-degree murder, a probation violation for theft of a auto motor vehicle and driving without a valid license. "More details will be released later today". In Los Angeles on Tuesday night, a vigil attended by around 1,000 devolved into the crowd jumping on a news van and swarming passing cars, according to the Los Angeles Times, before being dispersed by police.

TMZ reports that the murder suspect was charged with probation violation for a previous grand theft charge.

Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, 20, who went by the stage name pronounced "Ex Ex Ex ten-ta-see-YAWN", was gunned down Monday, bringing a violent end to a brief music career that was marked by controversy and arrests.

Authorities said the rapper was ambushed by two people. She said once it settles in that her great-grandson is dead, she will make an attempt to speak with Williams. He was awaiting trial for charges of false imprisonment, witness tampering and battery of the pregnant woman before his death.

According to his arrest records, the suspect has at least 11 felonies. He said he used violence so she would engage with him.

He was released from prison a year ago under "very strict house arrest conditions", after a document from an ex-girlfriend was filed claiming that she no longer wants XXXTentacion to be prosecuted for domestic abuse against her. "I think the determination was that he wanted to buy a motorcycle, but [detectives] are not discounting any theory".

A viral video of the late rapper seemingly predicting his own death has been shared across social media in which he says the following.
