Egyptian Football Association declares Mo Salah fit to face Russian Federation

While Uruguay go into the tie unbeaten in their past three matches -and without conceding too - Egypt have not won in their past six games.

If not - and it's most likely that Uruguay win - Egypt's match against Russian Federation will be enormous.

Russian Federation top the group with three points, ahead of Uruguay on goal difference after hammering Saudi Arabia 5-0 on Thursday.

Watch the highlight of the goal below. The Barcelona striker is one of the best strikers in the world without doubt.

Uruguay will face Saudi Arabia in their second Group A game on Wednesday while Egypt face a decisive game against hosts Russian Federation on Tuesday night in which Salah will hope to feature.

"We still have to see how training goes today, but I can nearly assure you 100 percent that he'll play, we are all very optimistic that he will be on the pitch", Cuper announced on Thursday.

India welcomes Trump-Kim summit; calls it 'positive development'
Regarding Trump's surprise announcement that he would put a stop to regular joint ROK-U.S. military drills, Nam said the issue required discussion between the two countries.

Creating only the most occasional of chances without the free-scoring Liverpool man in their starting XI, the presence of Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani guaranteed that their opponents Uruguay would have no such issue.

The key to Egypt's campaign will be Mohamed Salah's fitness as he recovers from the shoulder injury he suffered during May's UEFA Champions League final.

Speaking to reporters after the match, Cuper stressed that he could not risk Salah ahead of games against Saudi Arabia and tournament hosts Russian Federation. Whether the manager will risk him for their opener remains to be seen, but without him they will really struggle to make an impact here. Hector Cuper's side played extremely conservatively in Gabon, packing nine outfielders behind the ball and leaving Mohamed Salah at the top of the pitch to sniff out opportunities on the counter-attack.

I might think about this a little if Salah was healthy, but with him being downgraded it severely limits the Egypt offense.

"We have been preparing a long time ago to play the World Cup and it does not depend on a player", Godin told reporters on Thursday. And it's not even that the total cost of football players of the national team of Uruguay is significantly higher than that of the Egyptians (367 million euros vs. 196 million).
