Leaked Images Claim to Show Off Google's Pixel 3 XL

Its bootloader indicates the device could sport 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We already know that "crosshatch" is the Google Pixel 3 XL from the earlier leak, so we're assuming that "blueline" is the smaller Google Pixel 3.

On the back, the Pixel 3 XL will be one of the few single-camera devices for 2018 in the flagship category. Also on the phone's back is a mysterious circular logo that has been used on Google prototypes in the past. However, the front of the Pixel 3 XL will support dual cameras.

Android P is said to feature native support for the notch, which makes logical sense on why Google is using it as part of the Pixel 3 XL. The bottom houses a Type-C port. It's just that this time around, the Google Pixel 3 will be manufactured by Foxconn.

The report, which got its information from the usual "people familiar with the matter", claims that - as expected - the larger Pixel 3 XL will feature an nearly edge-to-edge display with a notch at the top.

On the back of the device is a regular fingerprint sensor.

THE INCOMING Google Pixel 3 XL has been pictured in the wild, confirming that, er, it's not all that exciting.

The volume rocker keys and power button will placed on the right side, like we saw on the Pixel 2 devices as we;;.

And finally, the most significant change compared to last year's hardware is that Google apparently moved the SIM card tray to the bottom of the handset. He claims that when he squeezed the phones frame, it vibrated – which clearly indicates the presence of the Active Edge feature.

The images (above), which come courtesy of XDA Developers member meraz9000, show that Google's large-screened Android P flagship will follow the notch trend, with a chunky iPhone X-style cutout sat at the top of its display. It allows developers to build apps that work around the cut out.

Tipster OnLeaks revealed on Twitter that Pixel 3 will feature a 5.3-inch screen, while the Pixel 3 XL will come with a bigger 6.2-inch display. Even among Android vendors, Google is nowhere near the top-selling phone brand despite the fact that its Pixel branded smartphones offer huge advantages over the competition.
