Roseanne Barr firing: Was it really just 'one bad tweet'?

The president's message to Iger on Wednesday read: "Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that "ABC does not tolerate comments like those" made by Roseanne Barr".

Comedian Roseanne Barr tried Wednesday to blame her inflammatory tweet comparing the appearance of former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to a character from "Planet of the Apes" on her prescription to the sleep medication Ambien. "I feel devastated, not for the end of the Roseanne show, but for all those who poured their hearts and souls into our jobs, and the audience that welcomed us into their homes", Fishman wrote. The saddest part of all is 4 Jayden Rey on the show whom I grew2 love so much & am so ashamed of myself that she would ever think I do not love her bc she is African American. He suggested that Barr wanted the show to get cancelled.

"I would rather say nothing than to cause more trouble", the 65-year-old explained.

"I'm exhausted of being attacked & belittled more than other comedians who have said worse". She criticized Democratic financier George Soros and tweeted that Chelsea Clinton was "Chelsea Soros Clinton", implying she was married to a nephew of Soros.

"Roseanne" has been one of the highest-rated shows throughout its season, but that did not stop ABC from taking action against its star. "I begged for people's jobs".

North Korea's Kim Jong Un Replaces Military Leaders
South Korea's Blue House on Monday quashed suggestions a formal end to the Korean War could be announced at the Trump-Kim summit. South Korean government ministries did not confirm or deny it.

"Guys I did something unforgiveable [sic] so do not defend me. I was personally horrified and saddened by the comments and in no way do they reflect the values of the people who worked so hard to make this the iconic show that it is".

While Barr has apologised for her tweet about Jarrett, she has also repeatedly defended it - calling her words "insensitive, not racist".

Mindy Kaling started things off by posting a tweet saying she'd like to write something for "Roseanne" stars Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman.

The president also complained to Mr Iger a day earlier. Earlier this month, Fox picked up "Last Man Standing", a sitcom starring Tim Allen, a Republican, that ABC canceled a year ago."Roseanne self-destructed and said something that anyone would agree is inappropriate", Van Dreal says.

Barr ended her series of tweets by promising that she will be away from Twitter "for a while".
