After a disappointing loss to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev, Liverpool have responded immediately by signing Brazilian Fabinho in a 44 million euro move.

Liverpool's midfield is going to be a force to be reckoned with next season judging by their recent activity in the summer transfer window.

Fabinho has played four times for Brazil but is not in their squad for next month's World Cup.

The 24-year-old had been heavily linked with Liverpool's Premier League rivals Manchester United since last season. Games are coming and I really don't have my situation on my mind.

Fabinho has revealed that Roberto Firmino played a role in his move to Liverpool FC.

Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the player but are expected to sign Fabinho's worldwide team-mate Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk instead. Technically he is exceptional, and his dynamism would make him a fine fit for Klopp's blueprint. "He was a right-back and now he is a midfielder", he said.

What are his key strengths?

Fabinho has shown he can cope in these circumstances, and his presence might also allow Liverpool's full-backs to push (even) further forward. An added bonus - Fabinho is an excellent penalty-taker, scoring 19 in his career.
