Once acquired, players turn into Thanos and can reign absolute hell on other players in the game. Players have been sharing footage of Thanos grooving through all the dance emotes since the "Infinity Gauntlet" mode debuted on Tuesday, May 8. For a limited time, The Avengers' greatest foe, Thanos is terrorizing Fortnite Battle Royal players in an epic crossover. Of course the nature of the game dictates which way this will fall.

What are your thoughts on the new changes to Thanos and Fortnite's Infinity Gauntlet limited timed mode? Players can make Thanos retreat in bushes, eat a bucket of popcorn, and even bust a move; the latter of which has become a much-appreciated obsession among Fortnite fans.

With early access of Fortnite that released September of past year, the game rivaled a similar game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) by December, which brought home "Best Multiplayer Game" at the 2017 Game Awards. By this January, Fortnite had taken in a substantial fraction of PUBGs concurrent players and by February overtook them by a good margin.

Those being Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who stated that between editing sessions, they would smash out a game here or there.

Epic Games creative director Donald Mustard got a call from Joe, and they started "brainstorming these insane ideas". "About an hour later, we had the bones of this awesome idea for a limited time gameplay mode, and nearly immediately our team got started".

The new mode went live yesterday in a Fortnite / Avengers: Infinity War crossover.
