First, between June 30 and July 1, 2018, Dortmund, Germany's Westfalenpark will offer a Safari Zone event Then, on July 14-15, 2018, Chicago, IL will once again host the fan festival in Lincoln Park.
After a disastrous inaugural event previous year in Chicago, Niantic has announced plans to bring Pokémon GO Fest back to the city this summer July 14 and 15, this time at Lincoln Park.
Niantic promises a 1.8-mile course in the park that will include physical installations as well as exclusive activities.
Palace concerned on China's reported missile deployment in WPS
However, a USA defense official said that it was unclear if the missiles remained on the outposts following the April exercises. China is engaged in hotly contested territorial disputes in both the South China Sea and the East China Sea.
Safari Zone Dortmund will be free to attend, but those hoping like to take part in this year's Pokemon Go Fest will need to purchase a $20 ticket. Niantic hinted at additional upcoming events in Asia.
Pokemon Go will also host a Safari Zone event in Yokosuka, Japan at an unspecified time later this summer. Details are now only available for the Dortmund festival, dubbed "Pokemon GO Safari Zone". "It will take place in Lincoln Park and will feature in-game activities in the park and throughout the city as well as connected gameplay events around the world". For those who can't make it to this year's celebration, much like with last year's event, Trainers not at the gathering will still have the opportunity to "engage in a variety of activities and challenges". After settling a lawsuit that essentially resulted in all players receiving a refund for their tickets (and transportation for many), Niantic has set up a new location for Pokemon Go fans to gather. Niantic will also continue to hold Community Days throughout the summer.
